Guitar legend Slash and his bandmates Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators have unveiled new details about their upcoming album, “World on Fire”, which will be out as a Classic Rock Fan Pack on September 15, four weeks before its UK standard release (October 13).
“World on Fire” (Roadrunner Records), the follow-up to the critically acclaimed “Apocalyptic Love”, consists of 17 songs, including an instrumental piece, which are, according to bassist Todd Kerns, “ more serious and fun at the same time” than the ones from previous albums. After their appearance last weekend at the Bloodstock Open Air Festival, groove metal giants Lamb of God announced early this week their comeback in January 2014 for a nine-date headline tour.
This will be the band’s longest visit to the UK since they released their last album, “Resolution” (Epic, Roadrunner) in January 2012.
The tour is set to kick off on Saturday 12 January in Southampton, and will take place at different venues across the UK, including gigs in London’s Brixton O2 Academy, Glasgow’s O2 Academy, Bristol’s O2 Academy and Southampton’s Guildhall.

Seattle-based alternative rock band Soundgarden have announced they will release a brand new repackaged edition of their critically acclaimed album, “King Animal Plus” (Seven Four Entertainment/Republic, 2012).
The new record will be out on 2 September 2013 and features five exclusive live tracks recorded at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, and one acoustic song recorded at radio station 89X CIMX in Detroit.
