Guitar legend Slash and his bandmates Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators have unveiled new details about their upcoming album, “World on Fire”, which will be out as a Classic Rock Fan Pack on September 15, four weeks before its UK standard release (October 13).
“World on Fire” (Roadrunner Records), the follow-up to the critically acclaimed “Apocalyptic Love”, consists of 17 songs, including an instrumental piece, which are, according to bassist Todd Kerns, “ more serious and fun at the same time” than the ones from previous albums. As confessed in his personal blog, the new material is “sleazier, tougher and more dangerous” than its predecessors.
On Tuesday, the band also revealed the cover artwork designed by contemporary pop illustrator Ron English.
The fan pack edition of the new record, which will be released via Slash’s own label Dik Hayd, contains a 116 page magazine featuring exclusive pictures and interviews with the band, with artist Ron English, and producer Michael Baskette, as well as including a giant double-sided poster, and a metal pin badge.
Slash and Co. have announced that they also will be touring the EU in November and December. The band will perform at arenas across the country, including gigs in Leeds, London, Manchester and Glasgow.
Tickets for Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators’ European Tour go on sale tomorrow Friday 30 from ticketmaster and Live Nation.
