After nine years of promising the release of a new record, punk rock veterans The Offsping are officially back to business with new music under their belts.
The Californian quartet has announced today that its new studio album, “Let the Bad Times Roll”, will be released on April 16, 2021.
“Let the Bad Times Roll”: The Offspring’s first music since 2015
The Offspring’s upcoming album, the follow-up to 2012’s “Days Go By” (Columbia Records) and the number 10 in their career, includes 12 new songs supervised by the legendary producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Mötley Crüe).
Rock previously teamed-up with the band to produce “Days Go By” and “Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace” (Columbia Records, 2008).
The quartet has also unveiled today the title track to the new album. Listen to the new song below.
The new single is the first original song since Coming For You, a track released in 2015 which is also included in the forthcoming album.
A new record, a new era
“Let the Bad Times Roll” marks a new era for The Offspring which includes a change in their line up.
Todd Morse, the band’s additional touring rhythm guitarist replaced Greg Kriesel on bass after the latter left the project in 2018.
His departure resulted in a legal battle against vocalist Dexter Holland and guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman.
The album “Let the Bad Times Roll” will be released in top digital stores such as Apple Music, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music or YouTube.
Physical formats including a Sea Blue Vinyl, a Black Vinyl, a CD softpack or a Cassette will also be available in official music stores.
