It was during the Q&A, when asked about global politics, war, and American society, that the activist Susan Sarandon<\/a> truly took center stage.<\/p>\n

Her commitment to social and environmental causes is no secret, a stance that has cost her more than a few critiques in Hollywood and even led to arrests at protests.<\/p>\n

Yesterday in Barcelona, she showed exactly why she is one of the most respected and bravest figures in the industry.<\/p>\n

She was sharp and blunt regarding Donald Trump<\/strong> and the violent actions of ICE<\/strong> (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) in the US, denouncing the lack of “moral lucidity” in many sectors of her home country.<\/p>\n

Regarding the situation in Gaza<\/strong>, she expressed sincere gratitude for Spain\u2019s stance and the sensitivity shown by its institutions toward the conflict.<\/p>\n
