Symphonic metal will experience one of its most memorable nights in the Spanish capital.

The band Epica has confirmed a key date in Spain as part of its ambitious The Symphonic Synergy Tour 2027.

The Dutch group will return to Madrid next Autumn to deliver a large-scale concert merging metal’s raw power with the elegance of live orchestral arrangements.

Epica will deliver a historic show at Madrid’s Palacio Vistalegre

The project builds upon the acclaimed The Symphonic Synergy events, where the band, led by the iconic Simone Simons and guitarist Mark Jansen, elevated their anthems to a higher dimension alongside a full orchestra and live choirs.

After playing to over 30,000 passionate fans across their Amsterdam and Mexico City shows, the group is bringing this cinematic experience to Europe’s major venues.

Madrid’s Palacio Vistalegre will host this epic show on October 10, 2027, turning the capital into the national epicenter of the genre.

The event promises a massive technical and sonic display where intricate string and brass sections intertwine live with crushing riffs and Simons’ flawless vocal quality.

Epica: from touring with Amaranthe and Charlotte Wessels to the new creative universe of “Aspiral”

The last time fans caught Epica live in an indoor venue was during their successful “Arcane Dimensions Tour” alongside Amaranthe and Charlotte Wessels (ex-Delain), a dynamic event that left a lasting mark on metalheads while providing early live previews of “Aspiral” (Nuclear Blast, 2025).

This long-awaited 2027 return to Madrid follows the full consolidation of their ninth studio album, a conceptual work centered on growth, inspiration, and renewal that has become an essential fixture in their setlist.

The release marks another milestone in their career that, with previous achievements like “Omega Alive” (Nuclear Blast, 2021) or “The Alchemy Project” (Atomic Fire, 2022), has redefined the boundaries of modern symphonic metal.
