<\/a>Have you ever wanted to be part of The Walking Dead\u2019s survivors\u2019 team and fight against a horde of undead walkers while making your way to the Georgia countryside? Gamers will be able to do so as Activision Publishing<\/span><\/a><\/span> and Terminal Reality announced this week they will launch a video game next year based on the Emmy-Award winning TV show.<\/p>\nThe \u2018kill zombies with whatever you have in your hands and make your way to survival\u2019 action game takes the undead and brings them out of the TV series and into console gaming systems to allow players to assume the role of the mysterious, crossbow-wielding survivor Daryl Dixon, who alongside his brother Merle, will embark on a trip to the supposed safety of Atlanta.<\/p>\n
Drew Haworth, Creative Director at Terminal Reality<\/span><\/a><\/span>, said: \u201cThe work AMC has done with the TV series has been amazing and we’re ecstatic at the opportunity to be brought into the fold.<\/p>\n \u201cThe studio is made up of fans of the show, and we think other fans will see that the situations and walkers featured in our game are every bit as gruesome and shocking as they are in the TV series – they look, move and react as expected with full authenticity \u2014 and they will surprise you. The player’s fight-or-flight survival instinct is constantly engaged. ‘Flight’ is usually a good bet.\u201d<\/p>\n Players will have to explore different areas and choose between whether to stay and fight while risking a gruesome death or using stealth to avoid the zombies. They will have to carefully consider the food, medical needs and ammunition to survive and to endure the constant stage of danger, gamers will have to do all they can to silence the noises they make and avoid detection.<\/p>\n As Daryl, the gamer will encounter a slew of other characters that can help him fight for survival, but it will be up to him to decide if he wants them to accompany him to the end of his journey to safety.<\/p>\n Talking about Daryl\u00b4s role in the video game, AMC\u2019s president Charlie Collier, said: \u201cDaryl is such a unique and complex character and we’re excited to offer fans the opportunity to experience this new video game.\u201d<\/p>\n The release of The Walking Dead video game<\/span><\/a><\/span> is schedule for release in 2013 for Xbox 360, Microsoft, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.<\/p>\n <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Have you ever wanted to be part of The Walking Dead\u2019s survivors\u2019 team and fight against a horde of undead walkers while making your way to the Georgia countryside?
