Cheryl to shine on her first solo nationwide arena tour

Girls Aloud’ bombshell Cheryl has announced she will be touring the UK in October to present her third record “A Million Lights” (Fascination Records/Universal).

The announcement comes as her latest single, Call My Name, went straight to 1 within hours of release on iTunes, clocking up record breaking sales.

The tour is set to kick off in Nottingham on October 6 and the Fight For This Love’s singer is planning to offer shows in London, Nottingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield, Liverpool and Newcastle. Due to unprecedented fan demand, Cheryl has also added another date at Metro Radio Arena in her home town of Newcastle to her nationwide arena tour.

The new album, which was released on July 8, follows “3 Words” (Fascination Records, 2009) and “Messy Little Raindrops” (Fascination Records, 2010) both of which hit the top spot in the charts. Cheryl will be performing songs from all three albums on the tour as well as some surprises.

Although this will be Cheryl’s first head line arena tour, she is certainly no stranger to the live circuit. She opened as special guest on the Black Eyed Peas European tour in 2010 and also played four sold-out arena tours as part of Girls Aloud.

Tickets are already on sale priced at London £40.00 / £35.00 and £35.00 regionally (subject to booking fee), and available from Live Nation’s website and Ticketmaster.

Cheryl’s “A Million Lights” UK Tour dates are as follows:

Sunday 7 – 02, London
Tuesday 9 – Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield
Thursday 11 – Echo Arena, Liverpool
Friday 12 – LG Arena, Birmingham
