The long-awaited Friends‘ reunion special at HBO Max will be there for you in May.
The streaming giant has announced that “Friends: The Reunion”, starring Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc, will officially debut on its service on May 27, 2021.
The announcement comes with a first look in the form of a video teaser, where you can briefly see the silhouettes of the six original cast members walking together arm-in-arm on the Stage 24 set at Warner Bros. Studios, while an instrumental version of The Rembrandts’ I’ll be there for you sounds in the background.

“Friends: The Reunion” scores big stars, including Lady Gaga, Kit Harington and Justin Bieber
The special, directed by Ben Winston and executive produced along Marta Kauffman, David Crane and Kevin Bright, features a very diverse guest star list including Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, David Beckham, Kit Harington, Reese Witherspoon, Tom Selleck, BTS, James Corden, Cara Delevigne, Cindy Crawford, Elliot Gould, Thomas Lennon, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Malala Yousafzai, and Christina Pickles.
The reunion initially was set for release in May 2020, but production was delayed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pilot episode of “Friends” aired for the first time on September 22, 1994 on NBC. The show ran for 10 seasons, becoming a global success.
“Friends: The Reunion” debuts on May 27 on HBO Max.
