Green Day to release a musical trilogy from September

Punk rock trio Green Day is in studio building up the pieces of its new music creature, a trilogy of albums entitled, “Uno”, “Dos” and “Tré”, which is set to drop between September 2012 and January 2013.

Following the worldwide success of the Grammy-awarded gem “21st Century Breakdown” (Reprise, 2009), Billy Joe and his team are back in studio and have reunited with producer Rob Cavallo to start this new project, releasing each record one at a time, putting out the first album in September 25. “Dos” will follow soon after, on November, and the final album will be out in January 15, next year.

In a recent statement, the band said: “We are at the most prolific and creative time in our lives. This is the best music we’ve ever written, and the songs just keep coming.

“Instead of making one album, we are making a three album trilogy. Every song has the power and energy that represents Green Day on all emotional levels. We just can’t help ourselves… We are going epic as fuck!”

Green Day will hit festivals in Japan, France, Germany and Italy during August and September.
