Imagine bumping into Kevin Smith, director of the cult classic “Clerks”, in the hallways of FYCMA, scoring a sketch or an autograph from Michael Rooker (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), or catching a live panel with Karl Urban (“The Boys”, “The Lord of the Rings“).

It’s all happening thanks to San Diego Comic-Con Málaga.

One of Europe’s ultimate geek gatherings returns to the Costa del Sol from October 1–4, 2026, ready to smash every expectation.

The event boasts a star-studded international lineup featuring Jason Lee (“My Name Is Earl”), Christopher Lambert (“Highlander”), Denise Gough (“Star Wars: Andor”), key members of “The Lord of the Rings” team, and a long-awaited “Starship Troopers” cast reunion with Casper Van Dien and Denise Richards.

Under the banner “Mucha Más SDCC Málaga,” the official convention is expanding to over 90,000 m², debuting an outdoor boulevard called El Village, a dedicated Gaming Plaza, and a massive Artists’ Alley showcasing more than 90 illustrators.

Pop culture’s biggest franchises are taking center stage with historic surprises.

For die-hard “The Lord of the Rings” fans, the ultimate dream is coming true: Elijah Wood (Frodo Baggins) and Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee) are leading the fellowship to the Costa del Sol alongside Karl Urban (Éomer), delivering one of the most anticipated Middle-earth cast reunions on European soil.

Meanwhile, the “One Piece” universe is set to unleash absolute chaos with visits from stars of its acclaimed live-action adaptation, including Iñaki Godoy (Luffy) and Mackenyu (Zoro).

Factor in galactically epic “Star Wars” magic, fronted by Denise Gough (Dedra Meero in “Andor”), plus a massive presence from the Marvel and DC multiverses, and you have four days packed with exclusive panels and unforgettable moments.

A stellar lineup at SDCC Málaga 2026: TV stars, cult classics, anime, and gaming legends

The parade of iconic television names is bringing pure gold to the fan community.

Kevin Sussman (the unforgettable Stuart Bloom from “The Big Bang Theory“), Kristian Nairn (the beloved Hodor from “Game of Thrones“), Christopher Lambert (“The Blacklist”), Richard Dean Anderson (the legendary lead of “MacGyver”), and Mira Sorvino (Oscar winner for Woody Allen’s “Mighty Aphrodite”) will share the floor with icons of geek cinema and international animation.

Japanese culture will shine bright at SDCC Málaga 2026 with a guest appearance by Shin’ichirō Watanabe (the acclaimed director of “Cowboy Bebop” and “Samurai Champloo”).

The gaming industry will also pay tribute to trailblazing figures like Dave Jones (creator of GTA and Lemmings) and Jeremy Crawford (Dungeons & Dragons).

Turning to the local front, San Diego Comic-Con Málaga 2026 will also feature a special appearance by the cast of the classic Spanish series “Los Serrano”.

Comic book titans at SDCC Málaga 2026: The pantheon of Art in Artists’ Alley

For lovers of the ninth art, the artist alley inside the Exhibitor Hall Garden pavilion will be a sacred temple. World-class artists and writers will be signing books, dropping quick sketches, and chatting face-to-face with fans.

Superhero comic royalty, including Jorge Jiménez (Batman), Pepe Larraz (House of X), Carmen Carnero (Captain America), Álvaro Martínez Bueno (The Nice House on the Lake), and the legendary Michael Golden, headline a stacked roster of creators.

To top it off, the iconic John Romita Jr. will be illustrating the event’s second official poster.
