Street 3D Art

World-wide known street artist, Julian Beever, unleashed recently his latest 3D chalk drawing in celebration of the London Olympic Games 2012. Beever used the pavements in Leicester’s city centre (The Clock Tower) to create his newest masterpiece, which has been commissioned by Leicester’s City Council. The artist used the “anamorphosis” technique, which means that the piece is drawn in way that creates a special distortion giving an impression of 3D when seen from one particular viewpoint. The piece was later moved to Abbey Park, where it will become a permanent feature.
