My Chemical Romance’s ex-front man, Gerard Way, has announced that has signed a record deal with Warner Bros. to release his debut solo album.
The singer has revealed in his brand-new website gerardway.com that his highly anticipated new solo album is near completion, and shares a first taste, an instrumental snippet, of his new material with his fans.
Besides working as a solo artist, Way will also focus on other projects of his own like his art, his writings and his drawings.
Since My Chemical Romance announced their official split in March 2013, and after the launch of the band’s Greatest Hits, “May Death Never Stop You” (Reprise), Way has been giving free rein to his creativity and has published several comic strips, the last one entitled Twitter, which belongs to the series “The Talkhouse”.
