Multifaceted actor Johnny Depp is embarking on another epic adventure as he announced early this week that he has team up with Harper, an imprint of English-language HarperCollins Publishers, to launch a new list of books named Infinitum Nihil.

The Oscar-nominated star will publish titles from visionary authors that reflect his diverse interests and passions, and among the books that have been acquired by Infinitum Nihil is a work about Bob Dylan by American history professor and New York Times best selling author Doug Brinkley.

“The Unraveled Tales of Bob Dylan”, which is based on archival research and contains exclusive interviews with the music legend, is scheduled to be published in 2015.

Talking about his new imprint, Johnny Depp, said: “I pledge, on behalf of Infinitum Nihil, that we will do our best to deliver publications worthy of peoples’ time, of peoples’ concern. Publications that might ordinarily never have breached the parapet. For this dream realized, we would like to salute HarperCollins for their faith in us and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship together.”

Brinkley, who recently wrote a cover profile of Dylan for Rolling Stone, added: “Johnny and I thought the Dylan book was the ideal way to inaugurate the Infinitum Nihil series.

“Bob has been very warm and forthcoming with us. His music has inspired us both deeply since we were teenagers.”

In January 2013, Depp and Brinkley, who recently have work together to write the Grammy-nominated liner notes for the documentary “Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson”, will also publish the only fully realized novel by folk singer Woody Guthrie, “House Of Earth”.
