“The Last of Us”, the new post-apocalyptic thriller for HBO

Based on the 2013 survival horror adventure game published by Sony, HBO’s “The Last of Us” tells the story of a smuggler named Joel who is hired to escort a 14-year-old girl named Ellie out of an oppressive quarantine zone.

The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic United States, 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed.

The pair has to travel across the country while defending themselves against hostile humans and hordes of cannibals.

The goal: find together a cure for a deadly pandemic.

No official date has been announced yet, but the TV series is expected to arrive on HBO by the end of 2021.

“The Last of Us: Part II”, the long-awaited sequel game developed by Naughty Dog, will be released exclusively on PS4 on June 19.
